In the Universe we find various galaxies, stars, planets and various cosmic objects. Knowl’s devices are no different.
Educational Universe is a collection of planets (application packages) that meet various educational needs, including special educational and therapeutic needs. Each planet contains various activities that are ready for smart entertainment.
How was Education Universe created?
Several factors contributed to the creation of Education Universe.
A new device, the Knowla Box, was the first to be developed. It was important to fully exploit its potential. So it was only right to start working on new activities that could be used on the floor and on the wall. The type of interaction was also an important aspect. On the Knowla Box devices, interaction is available via a keyboard with a touchpad, but especially with balls thrown at the image or two interactive pens.
We had no plans to move away from what had been close to the company for many years with Knowla Wall, namely joyful play with children and animating their leisure time. The Knoocker/Knowla devices and applications had already been on the market for several years and had their own group of supporters.
It all came together when our mission under the slogan: “It’s smart to play” finally took shape. The activities that began to emerge incorporate elements of both play and learning. This approach not only agreed with our desires and mission, but also with educational trends of edutainment, among others. This is because such an approach allows for more enjoyable, practical and effective learning, which also became our goal.
At the very beginning, there was only Planet Fruu in the Educational Universe, which consisted of activities for balls, which are also available on Knowla Wall, and activities for pens. To this day, this is the basic and free package of activities that everyone receives when they purchase a Knowla Box.
In 2021, the first planets created specifically for Knowla Box and edutainment were released: Planet M, Planet Ziuuu, Planet Smart and Planet Pi. These are planets with primarily educational materials. And in 2022, Planets supporting children’s special educational needs, including their therapeutic, emotional and developmental development, were made available. They include: Planet Emo, Planet Dj, Planet Spe, Planet Contrast. The last of the planets to be created, namely Planet Hopsa and Planet Sigma, appeared in 2023. The youngest in the Educational Universe are the LING Planets – Hello!, Ciao!, Hallo!, Hola! and Salute! We also plan for the Education Universe to expand further.
What does the Education Universe consist of?
Educational Universe currently consists of 16 thematic planets. A planet is a thematically or scope-distinguished collection of activities (application package). Each planet contains several to a dozen different applications, which often also have their own levels of difficulty. Thanks to specially prepared activities or randomly appearing elements on the planets, Educational Universe is able to provide smart entertainment for up to hundreds of hours.
The following planets are currently available in the Education Universe:
- Planet Fruu – this is the planet where everything begins. Prepared mainly to entertain and showcase the full capabilities of the Knowla Box.
- Planet Hopsa – smart entertainment for preschoolers. It contains simple activities aimed at this age group. In addition to entertaining activities, there will also be elements of coding and mathematics.
