Who is Knowla.fun aimed at and who is Knowla.edu aimed at?
Knowl’s current audience is primarily children aged 3-10+.
Knowla.edu will work best in: schools, kindergartens, community centers, educational centers, extracurricular activities or half-schools.
Knowla.fun is an interactive entertainment center for: playrooms, hotels, restaurants and entertainment centers, or other leisure and entertainment spaces.
Which is not to say that Knowla.fun won’t work in a school, or Knowla.edu in a playroom. It all depends on what purpose you want to use Knowla devices for.
We know from experience that in educational institutions, Knowla devices are also the center of entertainment during various school events. They are also often found in day-care centers, where, in addition to consolidating knowledge in a student-friendly way, children may also want to relieve some energy and tension by throwing balls at the game pieces displayed on the screen.
Knowla.edu will also work well in the entertainment industry. For example, themed birthday parties in different planets of the Educational Universe will include themes: Minecraft, animals, puzzles, elements of competition or cooperation. It is also worth considering the planets in the context of the workshops conducted.

What can you find at Knowla.fun and at Knowla.edu?
You can find 25 starter games at Knowla.fun. Also available for purchase is the Green Creatures Game Set. Read more about the games here.
At Knowla.edu you will find all the planets of the Education Universe (there are currently 15) and two starter planets: Planet EduMini and Planet Fruu (the launch planets are available together with the Knowla Box or Knowla Wall). More about the planets here.
Where to find Knowla.fun and Knowla.edu on Knowla devices?
Both modes can be found on Knowla’s Knowla Wall and Knowla Box devices.
After launching the Knowla device, a choice of modes will appear: Knowla.fun or Knowla.edu. Click the button on the right or left to switch to the preferred mode.

To switch between modes while already in one of them, click “K.” in the sidebar in the startup view of the Knowla application.
Is there any difference in navigating the Knowla.fun and Knowla.edu modes?
The design of the modes varies. You will find a bright and calm design at Knowla.edu, and it fits perfectly under the cheerful yet structured work in educational institutions. We also took special educational needs into account when doing the design work here. A darker and more growly look is found in Knowla.fun, which is designed to encourage long play on Knowla devices. There is also background music in the main view, which is not present in Knowla.fun mode. Remember that you can always mute it in the sidebar.
At Knowla.edu, in the main screen, all applications are grouped into planets (a set of applications). Each planet corresponds to a different educational need. Only when you go inside a planet do you see all the apps that are available within that planetary set. In Knowla.fun it is different. All the games from different sets are listed in one list. Unpurchased games from paid sets will display at the end with a padlock, and will be distinguished by a different frame on the game tiles. You will find the Green Creatures game set highlighted with a green frame.

The sidebar on the main screen in Knowla.fun mode should not be clicked on, but has to be slid out toward the center of the screen, which provides some protection against children moving around the mode on their own. In Knowla.edu, the sidebars are always visible.
Knowla.fun games and Knowla.edu apps feature sidebars to help with navigation. In Knowla.fun, additionally, large buttons for exiting the game or replaying the game appear after each completed game.
We have tailored Knowla.fun primarily to play with balls, because they are the best in the entertainment business and the most engaging for physically active play. At Knowla.edu, we encourage more activity with pens, where we practice fine motor skills and solve tasks that require more focus.
